Administrative Assistant - Manager's Office

Seeking a well-qualified Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of complex administrative duties for the County Attorney, County Manager and Board of County Commissioners.

$22.00 per hour. Sign-on bonus available! Excellent benefits package.

The County is seeking a well-qualified candidate to provide administrative support to the County Attorney, County Manager and Board of County Commissioners' Offices.

POSITION DUTIES: Provide a wide variety of routine to complex administrative tasks including attending BOCC Work Session Meetings, preparing Board packets, taking minutes and processing materials, reviewing and routing various documents (i.e. contracts & agreements), receive and reconcile monthly credit card receipts and statements for purchasing card transactions, process accounts payable invoices, receive and distribute mail for the County P.O. Box, maintain Attorney files and document retention for court cases and e-filings, perform public notary services, and prepare, distribute and maintain highly confidential materials and information on a daily basis.

This position requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively research, write, draft, edit and prepare final documents and reports with attention to detail. Applicant must have excellent organizational and time management skills and provide high-level customer service on a wide variety of supportive tasks.

Qualifications

Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of three years of high level office Administration and related experience; OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least two years high level experience in an office environment with demonstrated experience in administrative work and working knowledge of government policy. Prefer a minimum of four years office administrative experience with skilled proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and office procedures. Satisfactory background check required for employment.
