NAR | Nursing Asst

JOB SUMMARY

The NAR assists nursing personnel in delivering high quality care to residents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assisting residents with bedside care.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education Background

High school diploma or equivalent

Licensure, Registration, Certification

• Registered Nursing Assistant certification for the State of Washington
• Valid CPR certification
• Valid First Aid certification
• Valid Food Handlers card

Special Training/Skills

• Completion of Registered Nursing Assistant training course.

Experience

• Experience working with the elderly preferred
• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility environment

Physical Demands

• Ability to move about in congested areas.
• Ability to read, speak and understand the English language.
• Ability to communicate with residents and staff in emergency situations.

INFECTIOUS RISK CATEGORY

HIGH RISK. Likely to have contact with patient's blood or other body fluids May require protective equipment to be worn during some aspects of direct patient care.

SOME (COVID-19) RISK: Possible occupational exposure to residents or clients with COVID-19. May require personal protective equipment (PPE) to be worn during some aspects or seasons of job.
