In this role, you will have the opportunity to innovate, challenge the norm and impact the future of Utah Transit Authority by influencing who joins the organization. Some of the activities will involve strategically formulating recommendations in developing short and long range talent acquisition plans, including up through the highest executive levels. Developing and implementing strategic recruiting, leveraging sourcing tactics, and executing workforce planning initiatives for the organization. Performing full cycle recruitment activities associated with developing and implementing an organization-wide recruitment program. Ensuring UTA overall recruiting strategy and processes are competitive to attract and retain top talent. This role analyzes and develops staffing models, recruitment data, and sources to determine effectiveness. Ensures recruiting activities comply with all state and federal regulations as well as corporate policies and procedures, and performs operational/administrative activities related to transitioning potential candidates to new employees whose potential and beliefs reflect UTA culture and values.
Last but not least, the Talent acquisition role performs operational/administrative activities related to onboarding new employees whose potential and beliefs reflect UTA culture and values.
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, human resources, or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
Five years in recruitment including exempt, non-exempt, technical, and executive positions. Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects, and client relationships. Strong commitment to continuous improvement. Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision. Experience recruiting in a highly competitive environment. Understanding of executive compensation structures and challenges, including the ability to analyze compensation packages and propose appropriately competitive offers.

To carry out essential functions of this job, must have a valid Utah's driver's license with no more than four moving violations in the past three years; or, if a non-driver, must be able to travel efficiently by another means to and from varied locations within UTA's service area. Lack of a driver's license does not necessarily preclude employment. No applicant may have more than one violation of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs within the last ten years.
