Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Interface with machine operators, engineering & suppliers to support production & productivity goals
- Perform effective and timely troubleshooting on all equipment problems
- Mechanical, Pneumatic, Electrical, and Hydraulic
- Identification and testing with PLCs
- Complete machine improvements / rebuilds / repairs quickly, cost efficiently and correctly
- Milling, setting, punch, and auto-welding
- Adjustments and alignments
- Component specifications
- Perform general machine work -- Milling, drilling, turning and grinding
- Perform preventative maintenance and continuous improvement projects to increase uptime and reliability of equipment and tooling
- Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and other associates / exemplify 6S principals
- Perform other duties as assigned
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Two-year technical degree preferred
- Experience with manufacturing processes, maintenance systems, and trouble-shooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC problems
- Ability to read mechanical prints and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
- Three years of high-volume manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
- Solid problem-solving skills with an orientation towards continuous improvement
- Ability to relate to and interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Goal oriented and self-motivated team player with high energy level and ability to multi-task
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Reliable and flexible with hours worked, including weekends, coverage for other shifts, and overtime
- Ability to read and write English; understand and comprehend instructions for safety and quality
