We're looking for a Hybrid Account Director to join our team as a trusted adviser to customers and prospects within the Academic vertical.

In this role, you will help our K12 & Higher Ed customers adopt LinkedIn's Solutions across the full spectrum of their talent lifecycle; from Hiring to Employee Development, to Employee Engagement. In addition, you will have the unique opportunity to work with higher-ed institutions who are using LinkedIn's tools and platform to create better career outcomes for the students they support.

Responsibilities
  • Drive customer retention and renewal growth from existing business
  • Cultivate new business by proactively prospecting in assigned territory through high activity in making cold calls and e-mail campaigns
  • Build relationships with multiple stakeholders (vertically and horizontally) across the Customer's organization
  • Drive customer decision making by achieving shared vision and proactively considering the value props that tie all stakeholders together
  • Use data and insights to support investment recommendations or overcome customer objections
  • Proactively mitigate churn risk by adopting a smart, customer-centric approach
  • Engage customers to confirm & clarify value and adapt the strategy when needed to optimize ROI
  • Prepare paperwork and manage procurement cycles to activate and maintain contract services
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
  • Apply business acumen in account planning by considering economic, industry, and company factors with a customer-centric lens
  • Agree to joint accountability with colleagues and cross-functional teams for optimal customer success
  • Practice humility and asks for help from colleagues when faced with a challenge or unknown
  • Be disciplined in Territory and Account Planning, Forecasting, and Quota Attainment
  • Follows best practices when using CRM and other tools to manage the sales cycle
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas
  • Consistently meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly assigned KPIs, including but not limited to: outbound calls, lead conversions, first meetings, prospecting activities, email campaigns, pipeline growth.
  • Travel required - 2-3 field visits per quarter and attendance at regional conferences as needed

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of applicable sales experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with HR software; sales or marketing
  • Experience with SaaS products or services
  • Experience with talent acquisition, development, or e-learning business
  • Experience in academic space and/or working with higher education stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and forecasting skills
  • Ability and desire to work in an entrepreneurial, informal environment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize time effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to find and manage high-level business in an evangelistic sales environment
  • Ability to gather and use data to inform decision making and persuade others
  • Ability to assess business opportunities and read prospective buyers
  • Ability to orchestrate the closure of business with an accurate understanding of prospect needs
  • Ability to include multiple partners and members of the company management team using competitive selling to position company products against direct and indirect competitors
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in a related field
