Job Description

Peraton seeks a highly adaptable, self-starting Project Manager with experience in the management of development projects for satellite ground stations. Work will include definition of project scope and objectives; development of detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Working with the system and software engineering team, the project manager guides the direction of the technical solution. Candidate will be responsible for project tracking and analysis; ensuring adherence to quality standards and review of project deliverables.

The development efforts will be implemented using the SAFe Agile development methodology. This will require the candidate to work with the Agile team to plan, implement and demonstrate capability in an ongoing basis per the Agile Sprint cycles.

* Management of software development for Peraton's various Satellite Ground Station development projects.
* Responsible for the performance of technical projects or a definable portion of a larger technical program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
* Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
* Provides general administrative oversight, time accounting. financial tracking, cost projection, inventory management
* Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities.
* Provides supervision, management, support and evaluation of personnel.
* Manages the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years experience and or a Master's with 6+ years of experience. At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
* Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
* Candidate is required to possess an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to pass a CI polygraph

Desired Qualifications

* Experience managing Satellite Ground Station development programs
* Ability to communicate and present engineering concepts
* Familiarity with SAFe Agile development methodology
* Experience with programs executing with a continuous delivery pipeline
* Familiarity with toolsets such as Confluence, Git, Gradle, Jira, BitBucket, and Crucible.
