Position: Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer develops and implements quality assurance standards, processes, and controls. Develops methods for inspection, testing, sampling, and training. Evaluates production capabilities and recommends improvements. May assist in developing quality assurance policies and procedures.

We are looking for a high-quality individual to fill this position at our Okarche, OK location , with some t ime spent at our Coil Plant in OKC .

Job Description:
  • Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment including testing and measurement equipment. Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of defective material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Analyze quality data, identify problem areas, and assist in resolving manufacturing processes or method that affect quality.
  • Continuously research and implement "Best Practice" manufacturing/processing methods and processes.
  • Monitor and facilitate quality activities for part approval, verify manufacturing processes (control plans, assembly instructions) and confirm process capability.
  • Use quality tools and practices to establish approval criteria to ensure the identification of quality failure concerns for both internal and external manufactured parts and assemblies (e.g. FMEA).
  • Investigate unit quality related issues and concerns related to product and processes, gather and analyze data, resolve/facilitate resolution and implement corrective action.
  • Interface with all business functions and departments to assure QMS procedures meet and maintain necessary quality records.
  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders on all shifts, to provide guidance and instruction on proper inspection methods, reporting procedures and problem-solving techniques.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and experience leading compliance
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in one or more engineering areas: quality, industrial, production, reliability, design, manufacturing.
  • 3-5 years of experience with engineering tools, systems and databases.
  • 3-5 years of experience in use of statistical tools and techniques for quality management.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventive maintenance and facilities.
  • Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis.
