Key Account/Regional Sales Manager
Location: Northeast
Job Status: Full-Time/Exempt

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for meeting and/or exceeding annual revenue and profit quotas by acting as the principal point of commercial contact between EPIC Systems and its customers in the assigned region. They will develop, maintain and grow core relationships with high value key account organizations, primarily but not exclusively, operating in the consumer packaged goods industry.
Duties, Knowledge and Responsibilities:
- Meet and/or exceed annual revenue and profit quotas across all EPIC product lines.
- Identify key target accounts, establish broad, multi-level relationships with prospects, understand needs and buying processes, and identify appropriate EPIC solutions to solve problems for our customers.
- Maintain long term relationships with targeted accounts / customers, representing all of EPIC's capabilities to the organization, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Be a value-add resource to our clients that can knowledgeably discuss the client's applications and production processes.
- Lead and conduct customer education sessions on application and industry best practices including how EPIC Systems skills, services and products can deliver ROI.
- Assess and prequalify initial project specifications to determine if the project scope correlates to EPIC 's services and merits further engineering review.
- Work with EPIC leadership, other Sales and Marketing personnel, and necessary Operations team personnel to coordinate account and sales objective planning, strategies, and tactics as appropriate.
- Work closely with other Sales and Marketing personnel and the Operations / execution teams to ensure "handoffs" are managed efficiently and effectively, and customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Keep management informed of market and customer changes by actively managing a regional sales funnel and project deck capable of supporting regional growth and revenue targets with consistency and accuracy.
- Submit sales paperwork and reports as required, e.g., activity reports, forecasts, sales order paperwork, project execution paperwork, single sales objective strategy documents, account strategy documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- BS degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant technical field i.e. Engineering.
- 4+ years experience as a key account manager or sales account executive in B2B industrial and technical (engineering led) sales.
- Must have experience penetrating and maintaining new accounts.
- Must have been trained or demonstrate strategic thinking / planning skills around the sales / buying process (Ex: Miller Heiman Strategic Selling or similar).
- Must have been trained or demonstrate strategic thinking / planning skills around the account management process (Ex: Miller Heiman Large Account Management Process or similar).

- Must have the ability to travel up to 75%. Must have a valid drivers license and insurance. Some international travel may be required.
- Must have knowledge and experience of using CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint in particular.)
- Consumer Packaged Goods / Food & Beverage / Specialty Chemicals industry experience / knowledge highly preferred.
- In depth knowledge of manufacturing processes highly preferred.
- Sales of both technical hardware and software products preferred.
