The Role: Enterprise FP&A Intern
The Location: Virtual - NY
The Team: The candidate will be part of the Enterprise Financial Planning and Analyses (FP&A) team which is responsible for forecasting & budgeting financials across the company and providing S&P Global's Executive Committee and Board of Directors with relevant data and analysis to make key business and financial decisions.

- 10-week summer internship commencing in June/July 2021
- Early experience within a group that forecasts and budgets over $7 billion of revenue and expenses across the company
- Work on special projects ranging from writing equity performance case studies to analyzing macroeconomic drivers behind S&P Global's earnings
- Exposure to valuing new product offerings across divisions; forecasting monthly financials; and contributing to presentations for the Chief Financial Officer, Executive Committee, and S&P Global's Board of Directors
- Opportunity to learn how FP&A prepares financials and presentations for S&P Global's quarterly earning calls with sell-side community, investors, and the general public
- Opportunity to establish a network and relationship with Finance professionals and other business contacts at S&P Global which will last beyond the term of the internship
Responsibilities
- Participate in the monthly/quarterly forecast and reporting of S&P Global's financials
- Perform analysis and assist with preparation of presentations and dashboard to S&P Global Executive Committee and Board of Directors
- Monitor and report on sentiment of sell-side community
- Monitor and report on earnings results, guidance, and reports for competitors and various other financials services firms
Basic Qualifications:
- Students graduating in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022
- All majors welcome: concentration in Finance, Economics, or Business disciplines preferred
- Strong communication (good verbal skills, listening techniques, and a clear, concise writing style)
- Problem-solving, time-management, attention to detail & organizational abilities to work efficiently with clients
- Intellectually curious; the ability to learn quickly
- Significant comfort level with suite of Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint Excel)
