We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert with a J.D. to support GAO Oversight for a Veterans Affairs program. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Providing oversight to multiple project workstreams and presenting an executive voice on behalf of ORAA in high-level meetings
  • Supporting strategic performance measure development, including improved linkage between strategic goals and programmatic outcomes
  • Ensuring that new projects and programs which may be VHA wide or localized to multiple offices are implemented effectively, as specified by senior leadership
  • Managing release and implementation of VHA programmatic initiatives and establishing healthcare enterprise relationships
  • Supporting performance outcomes, targets, improved programmatic outcomes, and linkages to programming, budgeting, and evaluations
  • Integrating healthcare project management best practices to ensure that new programs and/or projects are operating efficiently

Requirements include:
  • U.S. Citizen or Holder
  • Eligibility to obtain Veterans Administration (VA) suitability approval to access agency computer systems and facilities required to start work; current VA credentials preferred
  • Juris Doctor degree required
  • 10+ years of related experience overseeing the implementation of new programs and projects for a large-scale healthcare organization
  • Experience addressing GAO concerns and generating effective responses
  • Experience implementing organizational reforms within VHA
  • Experience with and in-depth knowledge of PPBE/MFR
  • Experience supporting VA/VHA/VBA/BVA or the Office of Regulatory and Administrative Affairs is required
  • Ability to clearly communicate and exchange information with co-workers, teammates, stakeholders, and other personnel, as required
  • Proficiency working across the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
