SYSTEMS ADMIN
One of The Select Group's top clients located in Maryland Heights, MO is looking for a junior Systems Admin who has a background in supporting Linux/Unix Sever infrastructure and has a passion to get into Big Data, working with the latest tech. The Data Management Team is building out new applications around big data and supporting 100-150 apps and they need to add an Systems Admin to the team to support their infrastructure. SYSTEMS ADMIN REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years working in system admin/technical support type role supporting Linux/Unix environments
• Shell or Python experience
• Knowledge and interest to get into Big Data field
• Strong communication - passion to learn new technologies (big data) and develop skillsets
• 4 yr technical degree

SYSTEMS ADMIN REESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support environment for new data lake and cluster, new servers/infrastructure is needed to support these apps and this person will support and onboard apps
• Building new servers for their infrastructure when needed
• Willing to work on new tech and gain knowledge and hands on experience with Big Data (ex. Hadoop)
