Job Description

We are seeking a Vice President to join our Corporate Practice in New York to support a broad range of client needs. In this role, you will be working on programs involving reputation management, executive leadership, internal communications, crisis communications, and national business media relations. You must think and do. We're looking for masters of the craft, who are excellent people leaders, client counselors and will roll up their sleeves and stay close to the work.

Responsibilities

  • Secure, maintain and grow the business
  • Provide strategic counsel and guidance to clients, as well as to colleagues in the Company network, to ensure success
  • Lead the client service function for program planning, problem solving and strategic counsel
  • Execute national business media relations strategy for programs/projects
  • Maintain financial responsibility for accounts including forecasting and account profitability
  • Develop media relations strategy and conduct outreach for programs/projects
  • Understand key client industry issues relating to products, product categories, technologies, primary and potential competition and general issues facing the industry
  • Understand key competitors and their business strategies
  • Work across geographies and help shape direction and focus of practice
  • Identify new growth opportunities based on insights into the company, client, industry and economy

About You

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8-10 years of experience in Corporate PR, agency experience strongly preferred
  • Must have a strong background in corporate communications and solid corporate media relations contacts
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of reputation management and a working knowledge of traditional and non-traditional media.
  • A current track record of success in building relationships with national business media, and driving results for clients
  • Excellent writing skills, solid presentation skills, experience developing and delivering client presentations, including new business
  • A history of success in providing sound creative and strategic counsel to clients and building credibility with senior level client contacts
  • Collaborative spirit, results driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, creatively and holistically about client programs
  • Proven leadership experience, mentoring and developing junior talent
