Job Description
Technical Project Management ( State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): will provide technologically-savvy project management and service delivery support to the Enterprise Architecture Digital Product Engineering and Public Cloud Adoption Enablement efforts. The Technical Project Management position will also facilitate the efficient adoption of the Secure IaaS Public Cloud environment by suitable State Street applications. Specific duties of the position include: Conducting effort and budget estimation, tracking and reporting actual spend vs budget and effort variance trends; performing fine-grain project delivery risk analysis for public cloud enablement and adoption milestones; submitting financial deferral requests for funded projects to initiate capitalization; performing ongoing analysis of team activities to determine the effectiveness and improve performance; running the Public Cloud Pre-boarding Governance process for AWS and Azure, focused on determining readiness and suitability of candidate applications for public cloud adoption; reporting monthly trends in public cloud usage and spend; reporting program milestones and weekly accomplishments to central PMO and senior management; coordinating with IT Risk Management to ensure all relevant risks are properly addressed and closed; effectively engaging multiple stakeholders, both internal technical and functional teams, while always looking to increase team productivity and meet delivery targets; managing overall program reporting on budget, resources, and milestones - including the delivery of comprehensive project management reports, risk dashboards, and team status metrics; ensuring the accessibility, availability, and integrity of shared project/team activity tracking utilities; driving and tracking the resolution of impediments identified by Secure IaaS adopters; ensuring the efficient onboarding and compliant use of Secure IaaS through close partnership with adopting teams and deep understanding of their business; and acting in accordance with Risk Excellence (part of our Way Ahead foundation).
Minimum requirements: Master's degree, or its equivalent, in Mathematical Finance, Mathematical Science, or related quantitative field; and 2 years of experience working in financial services. Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor's degree, or its equivalent, in Mathematical Finance, Mathematical Science, or related quantitative field; and 5 years of experience working in financial services.
Must have: Demonstrated understanding of fund servicing / asset management business flows and
relevant technologies; p roven ability in Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel, and Word; d emonstrated analytical skills p roven communication, presentation and writing skills; demonstrated Agile delivery training ; proven ability to lead effective governance discussions; strong understanding of public cloud technology concepts, semantics and services, with emphasis on AWS and Azure; and demonstrated team player and effective contributor in a large, global, complex, and diverse organization.
