Driver Helper

Ritchie Trucking Service is looking for driver helpers. The driver helper position is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. It requires excellent customer contact skills and a lot of walking. As a Driver Helper you will not drive the delivery vehicle but assist the driver in the picking up of packages/lumber. Workdays can vary (Monday - Friday) or (Tuesday - Saturday), both part-time and full-time, depending on the building needs. Hours vary but usually begin after 6:00 a.m. and end before 8:00 p.m.

We are looking for someone who will:

• Work safely first and foremost
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Be able to negotiate 50-100 lbs. unassisted
• Operate a hand truck or dolly
• Be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Analyze situations and make quick decisions to solve problems effectively
