$2B privately owned consumer products company with global operations is looking for a Packaging Department Manager.

Packaging Department Manager

Vallejo/Benica area, CA

Base salary +/- $150k plus bonus and exceptional benefits

Reporting to the Plant Manager this individual will effectively plan, coordinate, and manage all of the packaging and bulk operations in a safe, environmentally responsible, quality-focused and financially responsible manner. Change agent that can build an accountable team through coaching and mentorship that enables the team members to thrive.

• Bachelor's degree plus 6 or more years of experience leading a high-speed packaging operation, including maintenance, required.
• Hands on change that has the ability to mentor/coach the team and hold people accountable for their actions.
• Change agent with the ability to empower his team for success
• Experience working in a unionized environment required.
• Experience working in a CPG or Food Manufacturing environment required.
• Experience leading a large work group of 50+ employees required.
• Prior continuous improvement experience required.
