- Responsible for the installation, process development, and validation of new and existing tooling and secondary operations.
- Responsible for coordination with customer for quoting of tooling, tooling repairs, engineering changes and samples.
- Assist in specifying new equipment needs for new extrusion projects.
- Work with Engineering/ Business Unit Ex/Ph on new projects under consideration of plant interests.
- Responsibility for strict observance of legal rules and regulations referring to work safety and adherence of working time.
- Analyze internal manufacturing performance metrics to identify and resolve manufacturing and business process problems.
Job Requirements:
- B.S. Electrical Engineering, B.S. Mechanical Engineering, B.S. Manufacturing Engineering, B.S. Industrial Engineering, or equivalent and/or 5-10 years of experience in a similar position. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for year basis.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Engineer in a Medical Extrusion environment required.
•Assist tooling department in repairs, modifications, and troubleshooting tool issues
•Troubleshoot production issues that cannot be resolved by production personnel
- Work with Staff, Operations manager or other departments on LEAN activities to improve processes/ reduce costs
•Controlling of Extrusion Processes, taking actions in the event of quality or performance problems or failures if not solvable via Shift Supervisor or other Operations Staff
•Responsibility of Plant Trials
•Responsible for order and cleanliness in the production
•Analyze internal manufacturing performance metrics to identify and resolve manufacturing and business process problems
•Ability to train others on the Extrusion process
•Authorized to give instructions and directions to Process Technicians, Shift Supervisors and Machine operators in a professional and technical manner
