Job Description

Title: Traveling Eligibility Specialist

Location: Traveling is required. Traveling in clusters to various counties. Will be on-site downtown at least once a week.

Duration: 6-12+ Months

Pay Rate: $16.82/hr



Job Requirements:

Summary

Receives and determines applications, redeterminations, and interim changes for the CCDF and On My Way Pre-K program.

Conducts interviews with applicants for the CCDF and On My Way Pre-K program.

Contacts individuals or agencies to verify information relative to eligibility determinations

Enters and updates case information using AIS.

Applies eligibility rules and regulations when evaluating information submitted by customers in support of initial or continuing eligibility determination.

Authorizes CCDF and On My Way Pre-K benefits to applicants.

Responsible for processing provider forms.

Responsible for processing reauthorizations.

Maintains case materials.

Explains to customers how to secure other supportive services

Checks various system interfaces and exchanges to verify Customer information

Reviews received enrollment for correct information

Contacts customers to clarify enrollment information if necessary

Assist in answering all in-coming phone calls from applicants and/or providers

Maintains proper level of customer service while minimizing talk time and abandonment rate

Attend meetings and trainings as requested and maintains up-to-date knowledge of all programs and systems.

Work the 3rd Saturday of the month (Over-time)


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification required.

One-to-three years' experience working in a mailroom preferred; Demonstrated ability to operate mailroom and imaging equipment; knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field; Accurate data entry skills and the ability to type at least 40 keystrokes/minute;

Experience with social services programs is preferred; Strong interpersonal skills; Attention to detail; excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously; and ability to work as a team member, as well as independently; proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Word and Excel.
