RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors the daily range schedule. Ensures ranges are entered Hot and Cold utilizing the Brains Computer Software. Communicates Range Hot and Cold status with Range Master via hand-held radios. Assists with the preparation of Daily Range Control Brief as directed by Range Master. Conducts Range Check-in and Check-out tasks in accordance with Range Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

  • Coordinates daily range usage.
  • Ensures Daily Range Control Brief is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Ensures ranges are checked out/in in accordance with Range Control SOP's.
  • Reports range deficiencies to Range Master.
  • Reports Range conflicts to ACADEMI Scheduling for resolution.
  • Must be willing to operate Company vehicle.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • U.S. Citizenship required, and candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Local candidates preferred.
  • Experience as a Range Safety Officer preferred, or equivalent combination of training and related experience in US Military or Law Enforcement required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clear driving record for the last three years.
  • Proficiency with MS Office required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.
  • Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours are required, and work schedule will vary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 80 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday. Requires constant use of hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
