The role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is located in Pinetops, North Carolina. As a Supply Chain Admin, contribute to effectiveness of the Supply Chain team, providing administrative support to the sourcing and procurement organization.
Your responsibilities
- Assists in processing purchase orders into MRP system.
- Assists with expediting material and services as required.
- Communicates with suppliers to obtain quotes.
- Perform basic purchasing tasks.
- Interact with accounts payable to resolve invoice issues.
- Interact with suppliers on payment questions or issues.
- Assist in payment coordination with Finance.
- Provide administrative support for tracking departmental metrics.
- Provide administrative support with the New Supplier Setup Process.
- Create supplier performance scorecards and present business reviews to suppliers.
- Advise the Purchasing team of any impeding stock issues.
- Assist in inventory receipts as needed.
- Assist in administrative activities related to inventory analysis.
- Provide administrative support for all SCM document management.
- Generate and review various routine departmental reports.
- Submit forms to have supplier's master data updated in MRP system.
Your background
- Associates degree required with a BA/BS degree preferred with minimum of 2 + years of general office experience or admin experience.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
- Computer proficient and the ability to adapt to new systems and processes.
- Knowledge of or experience with SAP MRP system and use of Microsoft Office.
- Skilled in the use of technology to complete day to day tasks.
- Motivated individual with a can-do attitude, self-starter, personable, professional and a collaborative attitude with the ability to work in a team environment and asking for help when needed.
- Self-directed, with ability to clearly, concisely and professionally communicate findings and make appropriate recommendations.
- Strong English verbal/ written communication skills.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Critical thinking and strong decision-making skills.
- Strong customer service skills will both internal and external customers with a background in procurement and supply chain business acumen.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- A high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
