APQP & MaFact Engineer



Role Summary

General

  • Black Body Planning
  • Supplier Day / Info Preparation (Projects, APQP, Supplier See P3 / E89)
  • IATF 16949 issues are adhered to.
  • Documentation Champion - Gate keeper for APQP items in correct format and location on server.
  • Maintains 5S standards in workspace.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Perform other duties as required.

PPAP

  • Coordinates PPAP / ISIR ensuring documentation availability in defined template per Drive agreement (e.g. iPQ for BMW)
  • Pre-series part buyoff documentation - what is required and format
  • Part Buyoff Checklist / Format / Standardization
  • Owns KPI chart for PPAP submission and PPAP approval (QMS)
Key Responsibilities

APQP/CPMP

  • APQP champion - Cosma gate system (CPMP)
  • Responsible for ensuring that APQP Gate Reviews happen at the appropriate times
  • Coordinate Lessons Learned workshops and relevant activities to ensure Lessons Learned are systemized and used to ensure success on future programs.
  • Owns KPI for APQP Closed and Open Gates tracking (QMS) incl. reporting weekly updates visually posted on board (project room).
  • Attends a monthly Management Review to monitor KOI's and defines countermeasures if targets are not achieved
  • Perform other duties as required.

PFMEA/PROCESS FLOW

  • Lead development of all FMEA's
  • Process FEMA Lead Administrator
  • Generic Process FEMA Template Responsible (e.g. in AutoDCP)
  • Champion of all PFMEA's
  • Leader of Monthly TOP 5 RPN reduction meeting and activities thereof
  • Ensure PF complies with Drive expectation and feeds PFMEA
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical related discipline or 10 years related automotive experience with sound understanding of BIW build fit & function. Must have an understanding in the following areas, die / die process, assembly tooling, welding & sealer applications, CMM & datum alignment, data processing & reporting, customer tolerance concepts.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Project, Word.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
