Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant

A law firm serving clients throughout Florida is seeking an experienced full time Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant for their West Palm Beach office. Individual must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate.

Responsibilities

• Managing legal documents
  • Creating and formatting documents
  • Editing and tracking (i.e. "redlining") document
  • Managing internal and client deadlines
  • Assisting Real Estate paralegals to prepare attorney(s) for closings
  • Preparing closing binders / post-closing
  • Familiar with survey review
  • Working with title insurance companies to satisfy commitment requirements
• Managing attorneys' calendars - appointments, meetings and conferences
• Making travel arrangements
• Performing a variety of administrative functions such as processing new client/matter reports, preparing engagement letters, creating and filing expense reports, entering attorney time and answering phones
• Maintaining accurate files

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of legal assistant experience in Commercial Real Estate
• Must have excellent proofreading, document formatting, and redlining skills
• Must be punctual, meticulous, organized, proactive, reliable and self-motivated
• Must have the ability to manage time, plan and prioritize various assignments/projects simultaneously
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and advance working knowledge of Word functions.
• Ability to work is a face paced team environment while maintaining a professional demeanor
