Using an agile, commercial approach, promote long-term growth by establishing and administering mutually beneficial contracts with US Government customers (prime contracts and subcontracts) and suppliers, minimizing risk in contracts, and ensuring compliance with all contractual and legal or regulatory obligations, including the FAR, DFARS, UCC, ITAR, EAR and others as applicable.
What you will do:
Member of the contracts organization in the establishment and administration of assigned defense contracts and subcontracts
Adhere to a standardized, detail-oriented contracts administration policy and process, including responses to requests for quotes and proposals, preparation of contractually required information packages (e.g., contract data requirements lists, waivers, deviations, source approval requests, etc.), and responses to queries on existing customer and supplier contracts
Supports the contracts negotiation effort, including orchestration of a robust collaboration process with the Estimating, Business Development and Sales & Product Line Management teams
Establishes and administers terms and conditions for all contract types, standardizing these elements wherever possible
Engages in active liaison with Director of Contracts and corporate internal legal counsel to ensure pending contracts are aligned fully with pertinent standards and - with the assistance of corporate internal legal counsel - works with external legal counsel as required for specific business situations and circumstances
Executes customer and supplier contracts and necessary supporting contractual documents on behalf of the company and serves as custodian of all assigned proposal and contractual documentation
Adheres to procedures to reliably flow down to all relevant parts of the company all necessary aspects of customer contract and license terms and then oversees company performance and compliance with said terms
Within company guidelines, negotiates dispute resolution and leads corrective actions as necessary
Provides reports as needed to ensure transparency and continuous improvement of the Contracts function
Adheres to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms rules and Export Administration Regulations, including work force education, policy development, program administration, export registration renewal, and administration of requirements associated with manufacturing license agreements & technical assistance agreements
What you need:
Baccalaureate degree or 5 years of defense and aerospace contract administration experience
7 or more years of relevant industry experience, including direct and supervisory experience in government contracting
Aerospace industry experience required, with experience in the after-market industry segment desired
Formal education centered around contract administration
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively multi-task
