Department Description:

The Legal Department provides a wide range of legal services throughout the HHC System. Our attorneys and support staff have experience in various specialties regarding healthcare.

Position Summary:
Provide efficient, accurate and timely administrative and management support to contribute to the success of the HHC Legal Department by performing a variety of duties such as those that follow.

Position Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the management of all non-clinical contracts by ensuring compliance with internal processes and by performing the initial review of those contracts. Track and report on key metrics related to non-clinical contract review.
  2. Manage employment claims, including assignment of outside counsel, reporting to insurers, creating and administering claim data in Riskonnect and related applications, reporting on key metrics, managing related contracts.
  3. Manage and maintain Legal Department's use of various software applications, including Riskonnect, PeopleSoft Contract Management Module, Meditract . Train and educate Legal Department on all software applications.
  4. All other matters as assigned.
  5. Participate in activities dealing with sensitive and confidential issues and information involving legal matters or other Legal Department or system issues.
  6. Suggests changes to processes to meet changing needs.
  7. Work effectively as a team member within the Legal Department and with clients to provide quality service through communication, cooperation and collaboration.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of two years of college required. Additional education preferred

Experience: Minimum of five years of relevant experience with at least two years of contract management experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products, NetDocuments, Ntracts, Serengeti, Sharepoint, Vizio and claims management systems, Meditract, intranet support and Peoplesoft.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible and solutions-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proven analytical problem solver
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities
  • High degree of confidentiality.
