Job Description

Business-to-Business (B2B) Champion

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:

Education/Training: High School diploma, some college preferred. Possess basic product knowledge of hardware / commercial /consumable products along with a willingness to learn.

Experience: Sales experience with retail and/or business customers, ability to establish relationships with customers and fellow associates.

Skills/Knowledge: Excellent communication skills, strong organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task. Analytical and pricing knowledge with the ability to make sound decisions. Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: In-store activities

Account Development

Strengthen relationships with existing business customers and increase their purchases

Maintains sales & gross margin and is responsible to maintain discounts and review in accordance with the store business discount policy

Create/manage the process for customer quotes and orders

Co-ordinates & hosts any B2B entertainment events

Training and Coaching

Provide training to team members on B2B product knowledge, sales skills and customer service.

Helps store Cashiers and Associates learn to recognize and make referrals of new B2B customers, handle special orders knowledgably and accurately and deliver
relevant service to business customers.

Inventory

Maintain necessary inventory adjustments to meet expectations set with business customers.

Manage the sourcing of product for special orders and determine if the demand warrants adding to store inventory mix.

Ensures orders are received, maintained in the designated area and customers are notified for pickup/delivery.

Sales

Manages a prospect list - Seeks B2B prospects in the store - Makes referral calls to new businesses makes new prospect calls to businesses. Develop
relationships with new business customers and grow new sales.
