Diagnosis of non-working units, research and identification of parts required and communication to lead person and/or supervisor to ensure replacement parts are ordered and replaced in a timely manner Troubleshooting miscellaneous cafeteria and plant equipment to help diagnose root cause of failures which required working with general maintenance team and occasionally third party contractors Complete necessary documentation related to completion of Work Orders and planning of jobs needed for weekend work Required Qualifications Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship Must be 18 years or older Ability to read, write, and speak English Must have 1-5 years' experience in heating, ventilation & air conditioning field or similar field of study, residential or industrial knowledge Ability to take and pass universal EPA 608 exam for State of Texas within a year of service Must be able to pass base level maintenance reasoning exam to be considered High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Understanding of Freon based HVAC systems and troubleshooting thereof Ability to read & interpret detail blueprints, P&IDs, single-lines, ladder logic and wiring schematics Preferred Qualifications Registered air conditioning & refrigeration technician with state of Texas I.E., by passing EPA 608 exam offered by state of Texas Degree in electrical field of study Associate's degree in HVAC or related field of study Bachelor's degree in HVAC or related field of study Ability to understand and learn Evaporative Condenser water chemistry Understanding of natural gas fired make up air units and ability to troubleshoot and identify natural gas related issues to burners in units including troubleshooting pressure and leak issues Computer literacy and eagerness to learn SAP systems Maintenance experience in a food processing environment Compressed Air-Drying Systems repair experience Able to effectively use typical test and calibration equipment including, RTD calibrators, digital multi-meters, 4 to 20 ma calibration unit, etc Ability to troubleshoot 480 VAC 3-phase motor controls, 120 VAC and 24VDC control circuits Ability to utilize a torch, vacuum pump and freon recovery machine as part of the regular job duties Detailed knowledge of various HVAC equipment and heat pump brands due to the amount of different HVAC equipment on site Considered candidates will receive a phone call from a (952) area code.
