Position Summary
As the Manager of Global Physical Security & Investigations, you will be a member of the CDK Global Corporate Security leadership team. You will be responsible for the development, implementation, delivery, and constant improvement of the global physical security and investigative programs. You will drive the corporate security polices and standards across the global enterprise. You will work closely with the other corporate security leadership team members as it relates to protective services, investigations and security technology. This role reports to the Director, Global Corporate Security and Real Estate.
Position Responsibilities & Essential functions
- Development and implementation of CDK Global corporate security policies and programs
- Directs and provides guidance to the security staff (region security managers, and non-security personnel supporting security functions) in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes across CDK Global to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to the company
- Mitigate significant security risks, designs and implements strategies and programs to prevent and reduce loss of the organization's assets while driving cost optimization goals
- Prioritize multiple Security Initiatives
- Provide guidance, oversight and support to CDK Global Corporate security operations services and activities to ensure the protection of employees, information and physical assets, while ensuring efficient use of personnel and equipment
- Develops and delivers preventative programs and services to protect against criminal financial loss, crime against persons, threats, emergencies, illegal acts, and property
- Supports Corporate Security's Systems and technology with state-of-the-art solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard assets and leveraging technology to drive cost saving opportunities
- Support Corporate Security's Protectives Services in the functional areas of workplace violence programs, travel security, risk intelligence and personnel protection
- Supports and coordinates a wide range of investigations, in conjunction with other members of corporate security, internal and external resources
- Ensure proper vendor identification, bidding, and budgeting to support the corporate security initiatives
- Develops close relationships with high-level law enforcement, international security agencies, and private sector counterparts
- Briefs direct and executive level management on status of security issues
- In concert with Corporate Security and Resilience Manager, lead the corporate security response to crisis events and serve as the conduit to corporate resources and services for the regional operations
- Identify tools and programs that will build consistency in our efforts to safeguard corporate assets
- Develop and deliver security awareness, communications, and education for all CDK Global locations and employees
- Investigation of a wide range of security and ethics violations to include complex fraud, insider threat, and incidents of potential violence
- Interview of witnesses
- Preparation of final investigative documentation
- Prepare presentations based on investigative results in order to enable decision makers
- Creating a global background screening program focused on a risk-based approach
- Managing the RFP process to ensure vendor requirements are met company wide
- Formulating a threat assessment team composed of legal, human resources, and physical security to help mitigate risk that may be associated with candidates
- Creating best practices and policy to ensure consistency and individualized assessments are maintained for each candidate
- Developing a scorecard with the vendor to ensure KPI's are being met and are reviewed quarterly and yearly with all teams
- Working with the vendor on updating policy and procedures to ensure CDK Global is up to date on the latest legislation changes
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate security management
- Minimum of 8 years acting in an international security role
- Minimum of 5 years as a member of a security leadership team
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) accreditation or willing to achieve within 6 months
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Certified Protection Professional and /or relevant industry certifications
- 10+ years of security management experience or 10 years of security risk consulting experience
- 10+ years of experience in managing international security operation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
