Business Analyst, Corporate Financial Systems

A leading private equity firm is seeking a senior Business Analyst consultant to join their Corporate Financial Systems team for a 7 month (possible extension) project. Client is located in NYC although this role is presently remote and will remain so through at least January 2021 (client is open to the role remaining remote for the entire project for non-local candidates, but must be open to working EST hours).

In this role you will be focused on the enhancement, delivery, management and support of Corporate Financial Systems. Primary focus will be on Concur and EAS (Expense Allocation System that allocates expenses across funds).

This is a great client and an excellent opportunity to work remotely. Candidates must have EXCELLENT communication skills, be self-directed and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, review and document business needs and requirements, user documentation, process flows, etc.
• Perform analysis projects and clearly articulate and present solutions, rationale, issues and tradeoffs
• Develop and execute QA and UAT test scripts and facilitate testing
• Provide first line of technology support for EAS and Concur (which will require the ability to easily ramp up on EAS functionality)

Qualifications:

• Strong overall Business Analyst skills with the ability to work closely with Fund Managers and Corporate Finance Team
• Prior Financial Systems BA experience including integrations/interfaces to GL, Expense Systems, and an understanding of accounting and how funds are allocated.
• Prior experience with any time tracking/billing systems is a BIG plus (EAS, PeopleSoft, Kronos, Oracle, Workday, etc.)
• Accounting knowledge of how transactions post to the GL and ability to do accounting impact analysis
• Ability to write database queries in SQL and Oracle
• Excellent communication skills and prior experience working in a financial services environment (hedge fund a plus)
