Position Information:
The Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with the Psychiatry supervising physician and physician partners to deliver competent medical care to an age specific population including adult, children and geriatric patients at the WakeMed campuses. This position will complete consult work-ups, provide orders to staff to manage psychiatric medical care needs, provide orders for transfer or discharge as appropriate, and provide assistance to the psychiatric service as needed. The Nurse Practitioner will understand the policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines governed by the North Carolina Board of Nursing, and any other federal or state regulatory agencies, as well as the policies and procedures of WakeMed. The Nurse Practitioner understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of WakeMed.
Experience Requirements:
2 Years Nursing - Related Area Required
Education Required:
Master's Degree Nursing Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified Nurse Practitioner And Registered Nurse Required
Hours of Work:
8a-5p with some variability
