Machine Operator

Operate, sanitize, and maintain Continuous Cook Ready to Eat (CCRTE) machines and work with team to ensure production needs are met. Line is laid out in 3 interconnected rooms so will focus on a particular room/portion of the machine but be able to rotate and back up other Machine Operators

• Maintain, control, operate, and sanitize machines and equipment used in the Continuous Cook Ready to Eat (CCRTE) operation.
• Ensure machine settings are calibrated and may train/provide guidance to others on how to properly operate equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine problems, make corrections, and/or coordinate with Manager and Maintenance personnel as needed.
• Work as a team and maintain good communications with other Machine Operators, production line workers, and Quality Assurance.
• Do some sanitation between products and involves tear down, cleaning, and reassembly of machines; knowledge of sanitation techniques and proper chemical handling, and regular interaction with Quality Assurance.
• May help perform Warehouse Runner duties including use of forklift and pallet jack.
• Serves as role model regarding GMPs, food safety, general safety, and wearing PPE.
• May help in other areas of the plant as needed.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Prior manufacturing experience required
• Must have excellent performance and attendance record
• Must have good food and general safety record
• Mechanical aptitude/experience is critical
• Must read/speak English

• Prior machine operation using production processing or packaging experience preferred
• Scanning and AX/inventory experience desired
• Experience using forklifts and pallet jacks desired
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

• Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
• Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen.
• Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Able to perform repetitive movements
• Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
