Leidos is hiring a Junior Network and Computer Systems Administrator on the ESA V program. ESA V is an IT Services program supporting several customers within the Department of Justice. The program provides a range of IT services, including help desk, deskside support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, managed print services, ITSM, Active Directory services, and video conferencing, among others.

This work will be performed at a government location in Sterling, Virginia.

One customer of the ESA V program is the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). ATF's Digital Forensics Branch (DFB) provides investigative support to the ATF Field Divisions through the acquisition and analysis of digital devices to include computers, mobile devices, external storage, some network devices and Audio Visual recording devices.

The Junior Network and Computer Systems Administrator will provide end user support to special agents and ATF personnel in the field to include IT support to the Branch, configuring and installing operating systems, development of user manuals, user training, and call center support via audio and Remote Desktop.

The Branch is beginning a new project related to data analytics. The individual selected for this position will support the government program manager as this new project is rolled out. Skills related to IT Networking, digital forensics, mobile devices, domain administration, Server 2012 Administration, Server 2016 Administration, and active directory will be crucial in helping the individual succeed. The analytics project will be hosted in a cloud environment, so familiarity and understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS), file transfer services, cloud storage services, and will also be a key discriminator in identifying the right candidate.

Other duties as assigned related to the scope of DFB operations may also be tasked to this individual.

The individual selected to this position must successful complete a TS security investigation by the government.

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with one year of experience
  • Successful completion of a Public Trust security clearance investigation, prior to your start date with Leidos.
  • ====ship is required. Current clearance is not required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to multitask and function in a quick-paced environment.
  • IT Skills, including networking


Desired Qualifications:
  • Past experience with ATF
  • CompTIA A+ Certification preferred
  • CompTIA Net+ Certification preferred
  • Experience providing IT support for law enforcement operations
  • Previous work with sensitive digital media, DVRs, computers, computer systems and mobile devices is preferred
