Business Analyst
Job Description:
Manage essential process documentation and project implementation of functional and technical solutions by collaborating with business partners to gather business requirements, provide expertise and guidance and help execute plans to enhance business capability, achieve results and support organizational growth.
What is driving this need from a business perspective? Two separate Financial Process Re-engineering projects. One is starting ASAP, while the other kicks off Mid-October. Demand for heavy experience with Financial Processes and applications within Insurance, as well as a Business Process Mapping and Re-engineering background. Experience in P&C and Specialty Insurance is integral to all business analyst roles at our client, however there is also a small amount of Workers Compensation involved in one of these projects.
Travel expectations: There will likely be travel to NYC or other locations in the USA - Up to 4 trips per year once local public health guidelines permit for this.
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
o Financial Process Re-engineering experience, specifically in the Insurance Industry
o Property and Casualty, Specialty, and/or Workers Compensation Insurance Experience (Not Healthcare Insurance)
o Strong Business Analysis acumen and experience (5+ years)
o Ability to work independently for results, as well as collaborate with a team
o Proven ability to elicit requirements from senior level stakeholders both internal and external
o Strong documentation skills
o Strong command of written and spoken English
o Strong influencing and leadership skills
Required Skills or Software Experience:
o Financial Planning and Analysis (Month/Year End Reporting)
o Business Process Modelling Software (Specifically Visio AND IBM Blueworks)
o P&C, Specialty and/or Workers Compensation Insurance (Not Health Insurance)
o Requirements gathering and documentation
o Group facilitation and requirements elicitation
o Process and Procedure analysis and mapping
o Implementation training and troubleshooting
o Lead UAT efforts and defect management
o Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel)
o Professional Communication/Chat (Skype/Teams)
