Material Handler / IT Inventory Technician



We are currently seeking a Material Handler / IT Inventory Technician for a 6+ month contractual opportunity with our client in Tempe, AZ. There is a strong possibility for extensions in this role; it is 1st shift (approx.) 7:00 am 3:30 pm. In this role, you must be able to stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You MUST have strong work ethics (please no job hoppers), bring a good attitude and be able to work well with others.


Responsibilities:



  • Works well in a team environment and self-manages.
  • Works in a fast paced and high-volume environment and is able to step-up and meet demands without prompt as business fluctuates.
  • Should have common PC formatting and operational knowledge (spreadsheet and computer literate), as well as an ability to be trained on how to use a hand scanner. This can be a labor-intensive job.
  • IT Inventory: Accountable for hardware/asset tracking, ensures adequate inventory, maintains equipment inventory controls and policies, package and return equipment for reuse/recycle/disposition, and receive, package, return and maintain equipment accountability.


Qualifications:



  • Previous warehouse experience is desired.
  • Must be a High School graduate

    • BA/BS degree or 1+ years technical/training/hardware certifications preferred.


  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills in high pressure situations.
  • A strong aptitude for computer related problem solving.
  • Basic/working knowledge of Windows, MS Office and related applications
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Ability to precisely follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment, some twisting and turning with equipment installs.
  • Good mechanical skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency, business ethics, dependability and follow through.
