Job Description
We are seeking Inpatient Medical Coders to work on a remote team for our client. The position is 13 weeks in duration, and could be extended.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under general direction of the Coding Compliance manager this position codes diagnosis and procedures for assigned cases. Assigns ICD and CPT codes for patients receiving services. Assigns DRG and all applicable APCs for patient accounts and abstracts all coded data into abstracting information system. Responsible for data entry into electronic databases for use in the assessing quality of patient care outcome analysis and financial management. Actively involved in communicating coding and documentation requirements to clinicians and other who use the data.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Recent Inpatient Coding experience in a large healthcare setting OP or Profee Coding experience will not apply 3-5 years coding experience with proven knowledge of records with RHIT/RHIA/CCS credential.
Remote SHIFT: 40H/week - may not start earlier than 6am local time Schedule will be set by manager while training. Once training has been completed schedules can be flexible but MUST be confirmed and coordinated with the reporting manager
