Job Description

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of a wide variety of equipment in a manufacturing environment. In this role, the individual will spend the majority of their time troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing equipment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to follow all safety rules and practices
  • Performing emergency/break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations
  • Accurately using measurement and test equipment
  • Replacing faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices such as proximity switch timers, scanners and photoelectric devices
  • Reading electrical block diagrams, schematics as well as PLC ladder logic
  • Troubleshooting and solving problems
  • Maintaining teamwork with other associates
  • Electrical aptitude
    • Electrical and wiring repair 110v/240V/480V
      • Circuit Breaker and/or Fuse Box repair and installation
      • AC/DC Motor, Controller, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)
      • General understanding of Programable Logic Controllers (PLC)
      • Three Phase Electrical equipment
  • Troubleshooting expertise
  • Candidate must be willing to work alternative shifts, weekends and overtime as required.

Highly Preferable Skills:

  • Food manufacturing maintenance and electrical experience
    • Including but not limited to
      • Conveyors
      • Food Packaging machines
    • HVAC Repair and Maintenance
    • Can read Japanese

Work Environment:
The job is within a fast-paced, food processing environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the factory.

The environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, and noisy.
