The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of a wide variety of equipment in a manufacturing environment. In this role, the individual will spend the majority of their time troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing equipment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to follow all safety rules and practices
- Performing emergency/break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations
- Accurately using measurement and test equipment
- Replacing faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices such as proximity switch timers, scanners and photoelectric devices
- Reading electrical block diagrams, schematics as well as PLC ladder logic
- Troubleshooting and solving problems
- Maintaining teamwork with other associates
- Electrical aptitude
- Electrical and wiring repair 110v/240V/480V
- Circuit Breaker and/or Fuse Box repair and installation
- AC/DC Motor, Controller, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)
- General understanding of Programable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- Three Phase Electrical equipment
- Troubleshooting expertise
- Candidate must be willing to work alternative shifts, weekends and overtime as required.
Highly Preferable Skills:
- Food manufacturing maintenance and electrical experience
- Including but not limited to
- Conveyors
- Food Packaging machines
- HVAC Repair and Maintenance
- Can read Japanese
Work Environment:
The job is within a fast-paced, food processing environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the factory.
The environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, and noisy.
