Applications Development lead for Global Regulatory applications is responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team of developers in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Work as senior developer and manage one or more developers' work slate to achieve project goals.
- Manage stakeholders to set and deliver project expectations (scope, plan, design & deliver).
- Create strategic roadmaps to improve the productivity and efficiency of the applications.
- Self-initiate, work productively when unsupervised and multitask across multiple concurrent projects
- Healthy collaboration with teams across the organization (horizontal/vertical)
- Mentor mid/junior level developers.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Major Global Bank, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 8+ Year of IT Experience ( in finance domain is a plus)
- Experience in senior Applications Developer role
- Must have strong Hands on experience in Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Elastic).
- Must have good knowledge of NoSQL(Hbase), MongoDB (& RDBMS is plus)
- Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills
- Experience on Java is a plus
- Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
- Exposure to Volcker regulation is a plus
- Showcase dynamic leadership presence in various forums.
- Ability to work with geographically distributed and diversified team.

Education:
- Bachelor's (Master's is a plus) degree/University degree or equivalent experience
