SRE

Piper Companies is seeking a REMOTE Site Reliability Engineer for a start up and will be working with cutting edge cloud technologies. The ideal candidate for the SRE with have a strong understanding of Linux.

Responsibilities for the Site Reliability Engineer include:

• Manage applications in a Linux-based environment

• Build automation to scale infrastructure based on forecasted demand

• Engaging with Pearson teams across networks, security, infrastructure, content delivery and quality assurance

• Finding simple, elegant, powerful and pragmatic solutions to complex problems.

Requirements for Site Reliability Engineer include:

• Deep understanding of Linux

• LXC experience would be a huge plus (if not - then docker)

• Strong scripting capabilities (Python, Go) (They use Ansible and Terraform)

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration Computer Science, etc.

Compensation of the Site Reliability Engineer includes:

• $85,000 - $130,000 based on experience level
