Position Highlights: Obstetrics and Gynecology Department consists of specialists whose focus is women's health. Responsible for general gynecological medical care for women, but also provide care related to pregnancy and the reproductive system. Concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of general health problems, but you would focus on ailments specific to the female anatomy, such as breast and cervical cancer, urinary tract and pelvic disorders, and hormonal disorders. focus would include treating and counseling women throughout their pregnancy, from giving prenatal diagnoses and postpartum care. The role of the gynecological APC provider at Kelsey Seybold spans the adult lifetime of woman's care and needs Complete obstetrical prenatal care Family planning Well-woman exams Vaccinations and screenings, including gynecological cancer and breast cancer screening. Treatment of menstrual disorders, gynecological problems, and menopause In-office procedures to your skill level that are common to the practice as they relate to gynecological conditions and needs and contraception. The role of the APC would include working closely and in collaboration with your supervising OB/GYN physician in a shared practice model. Required Qualifications: Must have completed residency and practicing or be in residency when applying. The salary range for this role is 278,500 to 484,500 annually based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. Description Specialization: Physician Assistant Cardiothoracic Surgery Job Summary: As a member of the Cardiothoracic Surgery team, the Physician Assistant (PA) is an expert in the perioperative management of patients undergoing cardiothoracic procedures and participates in the medical management of this population across the spectrum of care. The PA will act as first, second, or third assistant in cardiac and/or thoracic surgeries under the supervision of an approved supervising physician. The incumbent will provide care and guidance to inpatients and will attend outpatient clinics. The PA will perform endoscopic vein harvesting procedures, placing drains, placing catheters, closing major and minor incisions, recording post-op orders and progress notes and assisting in the transport and care of patients from the operating room to the recovery room or intensive care unit. Minimum Qualifications: California Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) preferred but not required. Facility will assist with licensing Valid Physician Assistant license to practice under the Physician Assistant Act in the state of California National certification (NCCAP) as a Physician Assistant Controlled Substances Education Course certificate of successful completion Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification American Heart Association (AHA) American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program Experience as an assist in cardiac surgery with endoscopic vein and radial harvesting is preferred Endoscopic vein harvesting experience required, will consider teaching the right candidate Skills to perform CPR and respond to emergencies using ACLS & PALS protocols as needed Ability to assist in operations, performing tasks under direct supervision of the attending surgeon Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
