The Software Engineer is responsible for the following phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC); Design, Development, Integration, Implementation and Maintenance. This person is also expected to work and communicate with project stakeholders from the requirements gathering phase through project completion, to create timelines and milestones corresponding to project scope. It is imperative that this person be able to juggle multiple projects, responsibilities and priorities at the same time while meeting agreed upon deliverables.
The Software Engineer must be capable of working independently to produce scalable solutions which adhere best practices and internal standards. Finally, this person will act as a mentor to junior colleagues and suggest best practices while taking an active role in assisting in their career development.
