Ensuring all laboratory procedures comply with regulatory standards and safety guidelines. Developing, implementing, and maintaining laboratory policies and procedures. Managing laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining equipment. Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing ongoing training and development for laboratory staff. Collaborating with other departments to support patient care and laboratory services. Analyzing laboratory data and metrics to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Maintaining accurate documentation and records for all laboratory activities. Job Requirements: Required: Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related field Minimum of 2 years direct experience in CLIA molecular high complexity laboratory testing. Located within commutable distance to the lab, or able to relocate quickly Experience in laboratory supervision, staff management, and compliance monitoring Knowledge of maintaining lab equipment and managing lab supplies Experience maintaining laboratory instrumentation, coordinating preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and managing laboratory inventory and supplies. Proficiency in molecular diagnostic techniques, including nucleic acid extraction, real-time PCR (qPCR), quality control, and assay troubleshooting. Preferred: Experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and technical documentation. Knowledge of CLIA/COLA requirements specific to molecular diagnostic laboratories, including documentation, quality assurance, competency assessments, and validation requirements.
