We are currently expanding our infrastructure management team and are looking for proven technology managers with experience in people management, strong technical understanding and the drive and vision to take Data Center Operations to the next level. The successful candidate will have experience managing people with varying skillsets, devising strategies, mentoring people in all levels, sponsoring projects, and proposing technical solutions. This role supports data centers in various operational stages. The position may be assigned to a facility still under development, which could require travel to established locations for training until your designated site becomes fully operational. The Electrical Lead plays a critical role in maintaining safe, reliable, and uninterrupted facility operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead electrical operations and maintenance activities for the facility secondary power system and associated building electrical infrastructure. Perform and oversee continuous operations, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, alterations, and repairs for feeders, switchgear, panelboards, and branch/specialty circuits. Support commercial and laboratory electrical applications, including isolated grounds, clean power, and specialty circuits. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems, including batteries, capacitors, fans, calibration, and power-quality analysis. Support emergency generators and automatic transfer switches (ATS), including load-bank testing, transfer testing, monitoring integration, and reliability activities. Conduct infrared (IR) thermography inspections and other diagnostic testing to identify deficiencies and improve system reliability. Install, troubleshoot, repair, and modernize lighting systems, fixtures, ballasts/LED drivers, motors, VFDs, MCCs, breakers, fuses, and sanitary pump controls. Prepare and maintain detailed as-builts, maintenance records, test results, and CMMS-driven preventive maintenance documentation. Ensure electrical work is performed in strict accordance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements, including NEC and NFPA 70/70E. Support emergency response and after-hours repair needs in accordance with contract requirements. Coordinate electrical shutdowns, repairs, and testing with site leadership and Government representatives as required. Minimum Qualifications Five (5) years as a licensed electrician in the State of New Jersey. Experience in secondary power operations and the maintenance of commercial and laboratory electrical systems. Deep knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, and NFPA 70E requirements. Experience managing continuous operations and maintenance, alterations, and repairs of feeders, switchgear, panelboards, and branch/specialty circuits. Demonstrated experience with critical power systems, including UPS, emergency generators, and ATS equipment. Experience installing and troubleshooting lighting, motors/VFDs, MCCs, breakers/fuses, and specialty laboratory circuits. Ability to read, interpret, and update technical drawings, diagrams, and as-built documentation.
