Job Description Job Description Outside Sales Representative A rapidly growing Treated Lumber company needs an Outside Sales Representative. The ideal candidate will have experience in selling pressure treated lumber to customers in the construction and hardware retail industries. The growth of the company has required the expansion of the sales team with someone that can hit the pavement, pick up the phone, and start knocking on doors. This dynamic company provides an exciting, fun, and fast paced environment to work in as well as competitive compensation. Essential Duties Maintain and expand the book of business in your assigned territories. Including identifying customers who would benefit from Dominion's customer development programs through training, workshops, and SME engagements. Understand each customer's product mix, volume needs, and seasonal patterns. Coordinate with Operations and Finance to resolve account-level issues. Track pipeline activity and progress in GrowthpointHUB. Prepare accurate quotes for customers using current pricing structure. Enter and verify orders in SOS Inventory. Coordinate delivery and freight expectations with the customer and Operations. Reinforce Dominion's role as a partner, not just a supplier. Submit weekly activity, pipeline, and forecast updates to the Sales Manager. Document customer commitments, exceptions, and pricing arrangements. Essential Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred. 3+ years of B2B field sales experience; building products, treated lumber, or industrial materials experience strongly preferred. Experience as a general contractor in the lumber industry will be considered. Working knowledge of SOS Inventory and GrowthpointHUB would be major pluses.
