Memorial Healthcare System is looking for a BE/BC Rheumatologist to join the multi-specialty Memorial Physician Group. Physician will be expected to consult on, examine, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of autoimmune conditions. Responsibilities include: • Consulting on, examining, diagnosing, and managing patients with autoimmune diseases, including lupus, Sjogren s, myositis and other musculoskeletal, joint, and connective tissue conditions. • Performing joint aspirations and/or injections as indicated • Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests (e.g., laboratory, imaging, chemical pathology) • Serve as faculty in the Allergy/Immunology Fellowship program at MHS • Collaborate with colleagues in the Division of Immunology, Allergy and Rheumatology on shared patients whose diseases intercepts both disciplines. Physician will be part of an experienced Division of Immunology, Allergy and Rheumatology. The opportunity to develop sub-specialty clinics for complex patients with autoimmune diseases, such as autoinflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases such as lupus, vasculitis, myositis and inflammatory arthritis may exist based on experience and interest. This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity. The schedule will be primarily outpatient with some inpatient responsibilities. Call coverage will be every other weekend, and the group is open to considering additional recruitment should the need arise.
