Opportunity: Psychiatry Job Details: • Immediate start date with ongoing need • Inpatient acute psychiatric coverage Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day • Must attend treatment team meetings at 9:00 AM • Can leave premises when finished rounding but must be available by phone until 5 PM • Average daily census of 16-18 patients per day • Manage approximately 2 admissions and 2 discharges daily • Work with NP support staff • Utilize HCS for orders and Fluency Flex for documentation • Treat various psychiatric conditions including anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disorders • Experience with eating disorders and developmental disorders preferred • Manage involuntary commitments and restraint applications when necessary • Focus on pharmacotherapy and family therapy approaches • BLS certification required • Must have active North Carolina medical license with clean history • Credentialing timeframe approximately 30-45 days (expedited privileges available for providers with clean histories) Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
