POSITION SUMMARY: Support the HR Team at assigned location in an administrative capacity including but not limited to HR, clerical and customer service functions. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist employees with daily questions as the first point of contact for the departmentUpdates HRIS with employee change requests, processes paperwork, submits changes to payrollSchedules meetings and interviews as requested by HR TeamAssists HR Manager with projects as neededCoordinates pre-employment screening process including confirming onboarding schedule with all partiesCoordinates offboarding process including all applicable paperwork and notificationsParticipates in New Hire OnboardingIssues new hire, contractor, and replacement identification badgesMakes photocopies, scans/emails/faxes documents and performs other clerical functionsMaintains all employment files, including creation and filingMaintains accurate records including I-9s, job requisitions, NYS DOL Variances (in NYS), etcCompletes HR PowerPoint slides for monthly production meetingsVerifies Wellness documentation and enters all Wellness hours/pay earnedDistributes LEAF Award certificates to managers and distributes/tracks the awards to employeesMaintains physical postings in designated areas current employment law posters, lists of internal job postings, benefits changes, and any other HR-related updatesCompletes monthly bill coding for cost centers and reconciliationsResponsible for creating various weekly and monthly reports regarding hours worked, headcounts, etcReport food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate actionAll other tasks as required by manager REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred or High school diploma/GED with 2 to 4 years of experiencePrevious exposure to clerical work in an HR environmentIntermediate Microsoft Office skillsMust have strong time management, task prioritization, and organizational skillsMust have strong attention to detailAbility to work with diverse group of employeesAbility to maintain confidentiality. WORKING CONDITIONS: Regularly required to sit, use handsOccasionally need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with a potential of up to 25 poundsSedentary office environmentOccasional exposure to manufacturing plant floor requiring the use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, bump cap, skid-resistant leather shoes, etc.);Must follow Good Manufacturing Practice (hair net, no jewelry, no fake nails or eyelashes, no food/drink, gum, etc. in manufacturing Plant).
