The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions Install tooling, fixtures, and workholding Set offsets and make machine adjustments as required Load and run CNC programs Perform first-piece and in-process inspections Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues Maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality Work closely with programmers, quality personnel, and production leadership Support both short-run and production machining operations Machines, Controls & Technology You'll work with equipment such as: Machines CNC Turning Centers CNC Machining Centers Mitsubishi CNC Equipment Okuma CNC Equipment Advanced Production Machining Systems Controls Fanuc Controls Okuma Controls Inspection Equipment Calipers Micrometers Indicators Bore Gauges Standard Precision Measuring Equipment Materials You'll Work With Gray Iron Ductile Iron Aluminum High Silicon Moly Ni-Resist Castings You'll machine components ranging from smaller precision parts to larger industrial castings used in demanding manufacturing applications.
