Position Summary We're seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Service Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial plumbing systems including backflow prevention, boilers (water and low-pressure steam), pump skids, hydro-jetting, and sewer services. The ideal candidate should be able to handle maintenance, emergency service calls, and contract work in large buildings. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, maintain, repair and replace plumbing systems in commercial and institutional facilities including domestic water, sanitary and storm drainage, process piping, and specialty systems. Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on commercial boiler systems (both hot water and low-pressure steam), including controls, burners, gauges, valves, condensate return, blowdown and safety devices. Experience & Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial plumbing service for large-scale facilities (office towers, hospitals, schools, industrial plants). Proven experience with commercial boiler systems including hot-water heating boilers and low-pressure steam boilers: routine and emergency maintenance, burner controls, pressure/temperature safety devices, condensate return, water treatment, and blow-down procedures. Knowledge of low-pressure steam practices as defined under regulatory codes is required. Solid experience with pump skid systems: preferably including vertical-multistage, booster, or packaged skid units, with ability to understand pump curves, variable-frequency drives (VFDs), pressure/flow monitoring, isolating and servicing components. Experience testing, repairing and certifying backflow prevention assemblies within commercial systems, with knowledge of local municipal test requirements and compliance. Experience in sewer and drain service: hydro-jetting large sanitary/storm mains, performing clean-outs in commercial buildings, utilizing sewer-inspection cameras to locate blockages, structural defects or infiltration issues. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and to perform pipe layout, install and assemble piping, tubes, valves, fixtures, or specialty plumbing equipment.
