What you will do Under general direction, maintain control over the scheduling, recording and ordering of materials for production. The Production Control Supervisor operates independently within general procedural patterns with latitude for judgement on methods of implementation. A proven track record of creative problem solving, following through and effective communication is essential. How you will do it Assists Production Manager in development inventory parameters for batteries and battery components. Recommends systems to control these inventories within established parameters. Maintains the accuracy of the bills of materials and production item files. Establishes daily schedules for manufacturing in order to meet shipping commitments and inventory requirements. Orders and directs the ordering of materials necessary to meet production schedules and sales forecasts. Performs follow up with vendors to assure materials are available when required. In the event of failure to meet schedules, analyzes problems and submits recommendations for changes to Manager for approval. Train and evaluate direct reports. Use a hoist to lift a bar that has many racks of parts hanging from in, and moving it from processing tank to processing tank. It's a little science and a little elbow grease. Perform plating operations per specifications and quality standards Set up, monitor, and control plating lines and chemical baths Process parts for required durations per shop paperwork Inspect parts for thickness, defects, and quality compliance Verify correct racking prior to plating Operate and assist with plating tanks and rinse systems Complete all required paperwork accurately Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE Identify and report process or equipment issues Maintain a clean and organized work area Work independently while meeting production goals This is active work-you'll be on your feet, using your hands, and staying focused.
