Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Cardio Thoracic Nurse Practitioner to work locum shifts in Fort Wayne, Indiana (IN). Starting in March 2026, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.
The Cardiovascular Thoracic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant role:
Schedule: Mon-Thur 7a-4:30p- Fri 7a-5p
Call: Mon- Thur 4:30a-7am- Fri 5p-7a- Sat and Sun 24-hour call
Need: 7 on 7 off (Flexible scheduling- reach out with you availability!)
Responsibilities: Daily rounding on all inpatients (ICU, stepdown) and new consults as well as discharging patients, OR - EVH hemapro 2; help train new APPs on EVH; some open vein harvest may be needed with some fem-pop surgeries usually done in a bridging technique, first assist on some cases once you learn our surgeon's routines - there may be OR call for emergencies while on call for the weekend if needed
Requirements of the Cardiovascular Thoracic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant role:
Indiana state license; active, unrestricted
Indiana State DEA
