Locum Gastroenterologist (Bay City, MI)
Seeking Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Gastroenterologists to provide ongoing call coverage through 2026. This opportunity is based in a hospital setting with strong specialty and hospitalist support, located in a waterfront community offering a small-town atmosphere with access to city amenities.
Position Highlights:
Call coverage Monday 7:00 AM through Friday 7:00 PM
Monday Thursday: 24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)
Friday: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM coverage
No weekend call requirements
Multiple coverage blocks available throughout 2026
GI clinic located less than half a mile from the hospital
Support from hospitalists and two colorectal surgeons in the community
ERCP required
Requirements:
Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
Active Michigan medical license (IMLC accepted with sufficient lead time)
DEA required prior to start
Experience performing ERCP
NPDB self-query dated within 30 days of presentation
Ability to comply with site documentation and timekeeping requirements
Additional Details:
Ongoing coverage need with scheduled coverage blocks available throughout the year
Travel and expense reimbursement provided within facility guidelines
