Our client, an affordable housing company in Orange County, is looking for an Associate General Counsel to join their legal team. The company has three distinct business divisions, including an acquisition rehab business out of which they buy existing multifamily apartments financed with tax credits and then do significant renovations; a construction business line; and an essential housing business line that is focused on providing affordable/middle housing to essential workers (teachers, nurses, etc.).

The Associate General Counsel will work directly under the company's Chief Legal Officer and will be primarily responsible for assisting with the blocking and tackling of transactional real estate matters (acquisitions and dispositions, loans, JVs, etc.) for the company's three business lines. This position will also have the opportunity to support broadly within the legal department with general corporate matters, insurance matters, vendor contracts, litigation, etc.
